One Room Challenge - Week 4

ORC-Gold-250w.png

We are seriously getting down to the wire here on this one room challenge. But I think we are in pretty good shape with what has been completed and what we have left on the list. Before I show you the update, let me remind you where we started.

All of the finishes were in serious need of updating, but it had to be done on a serious budget. Since moving into our house in September of 2018, we had already gone through some major renovations and this bathroom wasn’t on the immediate list of rooms to overhaul. But since it is the bathroom that our guests use, I wanted to give it a little face lift and felt we could do some small things that would make a really big difference. And the One Room Challenge was a great excuse to get it done!

So this is what we have done so far:

  1. Painted vanity BM Black Jack

  2. Replaced vanity top

  3. Replaced tile backsplash

  4. Installed new faucet

  5. Painted tile floor

  6. Installed new mirror

  7. Installed towel ring

  8. Replaced toilet (this wasn’t in the budget, but we had a generous donation from Golden State Sales who wanted to help out with the One Room Challenge)

And drum roll please…this is what it looks like now:

Amazing what a few little changes can make!! We still have a few things to do, like install new light fixture, purchase art and accessories and install hardware on vanity. Oh and remember that awkward window?? I have ordered some glass shelves to be installed in front of the window. I wanted something that would allow the light to come through, yet create some privacy. I am so excited to get those in there and style them with plants and accessories. Hopefully that will happen next week!

As always, go check out what the other ORC participants are up to. Thanks for following along and check back next week to see how we are doing. TWO MORE WEEKS!!
